Das historische Hotel liegt inmitten des Stadtzentrums, in der Nähe der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten, der Kathedrale, der Giralda und der Gegend Santa Cruz. Das Hotelgebäude, welches sich bis ins 15. Jahrhundert zurückdatieren lässt, ist eines der ältesten Gebäude Sevillas. Es ist eines der alten Klöster, die im Süden Andalusiens gegründet wurden, um die Mönche und Nonnen auf ihre Missionarstätigkeiten in den von Kolumbus gegründeten Kolonien vorzubereiten. Das Kloster wurde zu einem klimatisierten Hotel umgebaut und seit 2003 bietet es insgesamt 35 Zimmer.
