Das familienfreundliche Skihotel liegt in einem Bergdorf im Herzen der Serra da Estrela. Es passt sich harmonisch in die Ortschaft Penhas da Saúde auf einer Höhe von 1.500 m ein. Die Unterkunft umfasst das Hotel und Bergchalets, rund 10 min vom Skiort entfernt. Etwas unterhalb des Bergdorfes mit Blick auf Cova da Beira liegt die typische Estalagem Varanda dos Carqueijais. Diese Gruppe von Hotelresorts sind nach höchsten Qualitätsmaßstäben gebaut und sind dem höchsten Berg Portugals ebenbürtig. Das Stadtzentrum von Covilhã mit Bars, Diskotheken, Geschäften und einem Busbahnhof sowie einem Bahnhof ist rund 15 bis 20 Fahrminuten entfernt.
