Situada numa maravilhosa fortaleza do século XVI com vista para a baía da Horta, na ilha do Faial, esta pousada é a base perfeita para umas férias culturais nos Açores. O porto da cidade fica a apenas 400 metros, levando os visitantes de e para as outras ilhas dos Açores, e a bela praia de areia preta da Praia de Almoxarife fica a apenas dez minutos de carro do hotel. O hotel em si foi classificado como monumento nacional desde 1947, e os seus quartos clássicos proporcionam um maravilhoso oásis de paz e conforto com um ar histórico.
