Das Hotel liegt in Santo Antonio da Serra, in der Gemeinde Santa Cruz auf der Insel Madeira. Dos Dorf Santo da Serra ist nur ungefähr 10 min vom Flughafen Madeiras und voraussichtlich 25 min von der Stadt Funchal entfernt. Die Autofahrt zum Stadtzentrum von Santa Cruz und zum Strand dauert etwa 10 min. Das Hotel ist um 1930 von der Familie Farra gebaut worden und in den Wirren der Revolution am 25. April 1974 von ihnen abgebrannt worden, um illegale Besetzung seitens Anderer zu vermeiden. Im Jahr 1993 ist das Hotel von der Familie Pontes gekauft worden. Es war in einem sehr verfallenen Zustand und ist im Laufe der Jahre wieder aufgebaut worden. Das Hotel bietet seinen Gästen nun eine luxuriöse Landschaft mit Jahrhunderten alten Bäumen, Gärten und exotischen Pflanzen.
