Viana do Castelo, near the mouth of the river Lima, is the district capital of the northwest of Portugal, and of the region of Alto Minho. Viana is about 75 kms from Oporto, 28 kms of Ponte de Lima, and the border of Spain is just 30 kms north. Vigo, in Spain, is 98 kms away. Viana do Castelo is also serviced by train. This complex is the most recent addition to the Axis Hotels and Golf group. The contemporary architecture of the building and the hotel concepts makes this complex one of the most modern hotels of Portugal. It features a contemporary restaurant, a comfortable living room, a bar and, an exterior esplanade with a swimming pool, where guests can enjoy a refreshing dip. A business centre is available to the use of guests travelling on business.
