No coração da região do vinho do Porto, na margem sul do rio Douro, nasce a magnífica Casa dos Varais, testemunho de princípios do século XVIII. A sua história associa-se às famílias Castro, Vilhena e Pinto da Fonseca.  Dali conheceram-se cavaleiros e embaixadores nas colónias portuguesas, assim como governadores da Índia, de Ceilão e Malaca.  Foi pertença da família Coutinho, Lorde de Lamego e Penedono, passando a recolhimento dos monges Salzedas.  Em 1808, a propriedade é invadida pelas tropas napoleónicas em 1808, sendo mais tarde, atingida pelo fogo.  Hoje, após um projeto de recuperação, em 1981, a casa resplandece num panorama de tranquilidade.  A atual proprietária Lúcia de Castro Girão, recebe os hóspedes com conforto e qualidade.  As salas de estar possuem lareiras que convidam a saborear os vinhos de eleição, os jardins inspiram passeios a pé, ou de barco nas águas do rio Douro.

- The cancellation request when sent by email must be made before 6:00 pm, after that time it will only be considered on the following business day.

- If the booking has already been payed in full before the cancelation date, 95% of the value is refunded and the remaining 5% remain in credit and may be used in a future reservation. The maximum term for the use of the credit is 60 days after the date of the first cancellation.

- 1% deposits are non-refundable and can not be used for future bookings.

- Non-refundable bookings cannot be cancelled.
