Vila Galé will have a hotel in Figueira da Foz as of April 2024, taking over the management of the emblematic Grande Hotel da Figueira. The unit will be completely renovated, including the 102 rooms, bar, restaurant, lobby, and reception. In addition outdoor swimming pool and lounge, and a spa area with sauna, Turkish bath, Vichy shower, massage rooms, and gym will be added. Located on the seafront and close to the beach, it is an ex-libris of the city due to its strong architectural presence and 1950s post-modernist aesthetic, signed by the architect Inácio Peres Fernandes. First opened in June 1953 as the Grande Hotel da Figueira, it has been classified as a building of public interest since 2002.
