Set in a marvellous 16th-century fortress which overlooks Horta Bay on the island of Faial, this pousada is the perfect base for a cultural holiday in the Azores. The city's port is just 400 metres away, bringing visitors to and from other islands of the Azores, and the beautiful black sand beach at Praia de Almoxarife is just a ten-minute drive from the hotel. The hotel itself has been classified as a national monument since 1947, and its classic rooms provide a wonderful oasis of peace and comfort with a historical air. Guests are welcomed by multilingual staff in the 24-hour reception, and might take advantage of a wealth of helpful facilities offered by the hotel, including a business centre, reading room, and free internet access in common areas. - The cancellation request when sent by email must be made before 6:00 pm, after that time it will only be considered on the following business day.
- If the booking has already been payed in full before the cancelation date, 95% of the value is refunded and the remaining 5% remain in credit and may be used in a future reservation. The maximum term for the use of the credit is 60 days after the date of the first cancellation.
- 1% deposits are non-refundable and can not be used for future bookings.
